Fourth of July Fashion Inspo from the Ladies of ‘the Bachelorette’
Don’t know what to wear to the Fourth of July BBQ this weekend? Want to look patriotic while still looking breezy and fashionable? Let’s take some inspo from Katie Thurston, Tayshia Adams, and Kaitlyn Bristowe! 👇🏽
For duplicating Katies look, go for something that’s going to show off a bit of shoulder and leg. The $41 Much Obliged Wrap Dress will do just that, as it has the peekaboo of the wrap, and the split sleeve detail. The $98 Skort Romper is perfect for a hot, outdoor gathering! The shorts and the wrap panel really draw your eye to the legs, and the neckline is super clean (and family friendly! 😜) and the bow details at the shoulder is a sweet touch! The $129 Roman Holiday option is a great, classic maxi, perfect for summer parties and the skinny spaghetti straps help to balance out the fuller hemline. The $198 Liliana Dress has a button front (perfect for showing off a bit of leg, and the sheen of the fabric and the long sleeves and collar dress this look up a little - perfect for day-to-night!
For duplicating Tayshia’s look, go for something that looks clean and tailored. I like the $108 Kora Backless Jumpsuit as you get the pants look with the summer vibe, and the fitted bodice gives it that clean, crisp look. The $202 Micki Romper is great, because you replicate the collar + lapel + center front button placket detailing from Tayshia’s full suit, but you get it with shorts and short sleeves and a much more casual, summery vibe! I like the $395 Jenaue Summer Boucle Dress because is has that classic crew neck, which I feel like goes with Tayshia’s classic look, and the waist tie detail provides the same visual shaping at the waist that the jacket button provides. With this look, you can keep cool and show off a bit of leg but still look very put together. The $548 Malibu Maxi Dress has the V front neckline, which is reflective of the deep V and cowl that Tayshia is wearing (still conservative), and the volume of the skirt reflects the volume of the oversized jacket and straight cut pants. The fitted bodice and clean lines keep with that ‘tailored’ look, but the overall outfit vibe reads very “breezy California casual cool” to me!
To get Kaitlyn’s look, I pulled inspiration from the fitted bodice, the natural waist placement, and the criss cross detail at the front. The $58 Rhodes Striped Dress is smocked, giving it that more structured, fitted feel in the bodice, and the waist is at the natural placement. I like that the wider, more square shoulders are reflective of the square shape of a strapless top as well. I like the $258 Indigo Dress for all the same reasons at the bodice, but I like the longer hem length and full skirt as a dress version of Kaitlyn’s pants. The $180 Rising Playsuit is so cute as a short’s version of Katie’s full length jumpsuit! I love the waist tie and wrap skirt detail - reflective of the criss-cross of Kaitlyn’s bodice, and I love the drape at the neckline. The one is a little dressier than the smocked dresses so would be a great option for a daytime event that’s a little on the fancier side. The $228 Kiki Jumpsuit is a great day-to-night option. It’s a little dressier, and I love the fitted bodice and waist tie detail, and I like that the splits in the legs provide a bit of movement at the hem!
I hope you all have a fun and safe Fourth of July weekend, and get to eat the best cookout food!
Let me know what you think of these looks! Which would you choose?
Happy Fourth! ❤️ 🤍 💙
