The Lost Year and the Year Ahead
We wrote this peice when we were interviewed for Amex Essentials, as a part of their series reflecting on “The Year Without Travel”
Q: What are the top three things you miss about traveling abroad?
When it comes to missing traveling, what our hearts long for the most is just ‘connecting.' We love traveling abroad and navigating new experiences - diving headfirst into the unknown. We love experiencing new cultures, trying new cuisine, and making new friends along the way!
Q: What are the top three things you look forward to doing/experiencing once travel is possible again?
Once travel is possible again, we look forward to - first and foremost - cashing in on all of our airline vouchers from our cancelled 2020 trips! 😂 We can’t wait to wake up in a new, beachy locale with that sense of adventure and excitement that comes from getting to experience a new place for the first time. Our ‘first morning’ ritual usually consists of waking up early (Christmas morning energy) and strolling down to a local breakfast joint for some grub and some coffee so we can plan out exactly how we’ll fill our days to the brim while our heads are full of possibilities and our bodies full of caffeine! ☕️ This year has truly renewed our sense of gratitude and privilege for our ability to travel, and we we can’t wait to get out there again soon!
